Cross-Progression Is Confirmed for Aniimo — Here Is Why It Matters
One save file across console, PC and mobile. For a game built on collecting 90+ creatures, sharing an Aniilog between your phone and your PC is not a convenience feature — it is the whole progression model.
Aniimo ships with full cross-platform play and cross-progression between PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam, Epic, Microsoft Store) and mobile. One account, one save, every platform.
Why this matters more here than elsewhere
Cross-save is a nice bullet point in most games. In a creature collector it is structural. Aniimo's progression is built on filling the Aniilog — the in-game index of every creature, form and variant — and that index only means something if it is one index.
Several of the game's systems are explicitly time-and-place gated: creatures appear based on weather, biome and time of day, Prismana forms are tied to a rainbow weather state and leyline flow, and Homeland incubation runs on real-time timers. A player who can open the game on a phone during a Prismana window and then continue the session on PC in the evening is playing a materially different game from one who cannot.
What is confirmed
- Cross-play between all supported platforms.
- Cross-progression of the save file between all supported platforms.
- A unified account identity used to link platforms and to add friends across them.
What is still TBD
Two questions the announcements have not settled:
- Currency portability. Whether premium currency purchased on one storefront is spendable on another is a storefront-policy question as much as a developer one. TBD.
- Unlink and re-link rules. How many times an account can be re-linked, and whether a platform can be detached at all, is unpublished. TBD.
Both matter for anyone planning to buy on mobile and play on console. Until they are answered, the safe move is to link every platform you intend to use before spending anything, which is exactly the advice in our Pre-Order Q&A.
Practical setup checklist
- Create your account on the platform you expect to play most.
- Link every other platform in the same session, before your first paid transaction.
- Verify the link by logging in on the second device and confirming the Aniilog carries over.
- Only then buy a pre-order pack or spend premium currency.
